As I arrived I had no idea what to expect, but from the damn near 68,000 (90% Mexico fans since it was held in San Diego and that is their home stadium) I had just got a clue. I (an Argentina fan, in full gear) was the minority! As soon as I got out of the car and went to put my bag in the trunk I got a loud BOOOOO in my hear from a mass of Mexico fans. Yeah I knew what I was in for, but I also knew we where going to kick some Mexican ass today...so I let it slide and just kept walking.
As I entered the stadium it was clear Mexico was there to cheer their team on and where fanatical to say the least. Red, Green and White were all I saw! They few Argentina fans I saw in the halls of the stadium seemed to be in good spirits but where just shuffling through the isles to get a beer, use the bathroom or just get to their seats! After finally finding mine, I took it all in!
The stadium at that point was still hardly filled and most of the seats next to me where empty, but ALL the rows in front of me where filled with die hard Mexico fans, draped in their colors, sombreros, paint and horns blaring - it was clear I did not pick the wrong area to sit it, but that this is where it was going down.As I sat out the hour + before the 8pm start up, I heard chants and beamed over to see the Argentina fan section (clearly I had not paid for those seats but will do so next time) which held maybe 100+ fans in their blue & white, waving flags, blowing horns and waving balloons in the air!
I felt a sense of one with them; even at the hundreds of yards away...After maybe 30min, a couple more Argentina fans settled into my section and we felt like we where going to have to really yell and scream over all the Mexico fans to let our team know we where there for THEM! And we did. From the moment they sat down, it was made known they (as I) was glad to see them.
The start up of the game was amazing, fans screaming on both ends, the continuous wave of the crowds and the team lining up (was it 4, 3, 2, 1 - yeah then it was a 3, 5, 2 (typo before, LOL)) then it was on! Both teams fought like hell for the ball and Mexico's fans went wild as did we, then GOAL! Argentina! We screamed and jumped up and down and after when we heard PUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUTO and then MEXICO (as we all yelled out after "SUCKS") Mexico (Sucks) from the Mexico fans the race for the ball was on again.Gago played great and Messi - well he is the best! No matter the tumbles and hard hits he got, he played the hell out of that game and made the 1 goal that Mexico could get off, seem, well....pointless! 4-1 the game was over and we won. I will never forget this game.
GAME OVER!
C'mon people... It's smacktalk. The team she likes won and played very well indeed, I was there so let her do her thing. But let's see if the Argies can do the same against Brazil uh? hehehe ... Good blog Bella... and congrats to your team
I was there too, great game the mexican crowd was amazing even losing We still can have fun.
Not like when argentines lose, they fight and cry. Copa Libe this year, the world cup 2006, when germany knocked them out. they started fighting.
Please everyone knew mexico was going to lose.
whats probably funny is you got a mexican boyfriend hitting that ass, whos killing who?
good blog bella? theres something absolutely fucked up when this post makes it into the featured blogs. i dunno who makes those decisions, but he/she is drunk, on drugs, or both, or doesnt know crap about futbol. losing my faith on this ole ole thingy.
Daniel - I have to agree here, relax! It "is" smacktalk btw...LOL
Also I am sorry about the typo, I did not even notice the 1 I put in there (lol) but yeah, anyways!
Thanks to you all that posted comments and no Ishma, I do not have a Mexican hitting anything! We will see about Brazil and see if we can get back what we lost in the copa....to be cont.
P.S. Thanks Manogil
you can talk all you want but guess what? Argentina will loose and will loose bad to brazil! and I will be here to make fun of your stupid FACE! and no crying is allowed....
Brazil is a great team and they play well, just like Argentina! So we will see and no worries - I won't cry! ;0)
usually argies come to north america and end up with mexicans, i know alot of couples . anyway... u do agree argies are sore-losers. Well i believe the crowd was 98% mexicans and 2% argies mixed with american wannabes.
Why did argentina bring their world cup team? huh. U know mexico was NOT at full force. No Rafa,Dos Santos, Pardo,Nery.
I think argentina bought the stars because they didnt want to lose either to Mexico or USA. I know u guys would be embrassed if they lost to North American teams, since South Americans beleive they are better at futbol.
Even when Mexico's national team and clubs keep beating south american sides all the time.
There was only 15 arrests, our local news said, not bad for a crowd of 68,000.
Be glad you were part of the record setting crowd, that San Diego and Tijuana set, We set the pervious record in 2007 when Mexico beat Ven 3-1 in the Qualcomm.
I don't know about that since I was born in the US. Anyhow, I think personally that we would have beat Mexico no matter the players selected for the game, but that is just me! Also I never said we where "sore losers" passionate, yes. Mexico plays well, they just got beat by a better team! That is my opinion and you are quite welcome to your own.
15 only huh, yeah, that is pretty good come to think of it...LOL
U ARE CRAZY BELLA! ! ! !
THERE, I SAID IT!
NOW THAT THAT IS DONE WITH, U DONT HAV THE VIDEO CLIP HERE...?HMMMMM
WELL, WE'LL SEE NEXT GAME IF A FIGHT BREAKS OUT HOW MUCH U LUV UR TEAM, DONT END UP ON MOST AMAZING VIDEOS ON TV THROWING SOMEBODY OFF THE STANDS THO....
WOW I NEED TO EDIT THIS....lmao wth?? How can this girl be from all those nationalities. That's some of the stupidiest things young broads are saying now days to sound "cool"?
My grandpa was half italian and i dont know who his ancestors were from, does that mean im italian, spanish, mexican, portuguese and what not?? lmaoo nope. Either way girl lol you're not even argentinian lmao. Now if u wanna talk smack we can talk about how colombia beat that argentinian ass on conmebol eliminations, or how barcelona got owned by man u in the champions lol, or even better how real madrid took barca out of the picture in LA LIGA.
OK back to topic. Girl calm down, Mexico's squad has been coming from alot of problems. Different coaches, new game tactics, new players, diff formations etc. In addition to that we were missing alot of players that will do alot of damage to that Argentinian defense (Nery Castillo, Gio Dos Santos, Pavel Pardo and Omar Brvo) on the defense we were missing the all timm best Rafa Marquez. To make this story short Mexico played with an A/B team in comparasion the Aregentinas all A team only missing Riquelme and Tevez. At the end of the day it was only a frindly and it should not be a game that will be remembered. A true MEX vs ARG game should be on soon, by then we'll see a true match.
thizMex_huevos: if you have a problem with my ethnic background, deal with it! I use to say Spanish/Italian mix and then everyone kept asking me what the "mix"
was, so I added it! End of
story. And what difference does it make if I am Argentinian? Please! Get over yourself.
Back on topic; I happen to know that Argentina kicked Mexico's ass, you can talk smack about
whatever you want but you all got
the crap beat outa ya! Period. I will take much pleasure in watching ANY game we play against Mexico (I never said Mexico was a shit team or had a bad
lineup - I only state Argentina is better, which it is. It is like Ishma
said "Please everyone knew mexico was going to lose." LMAO), just because it will be fun to watch you guys lose again.
P.S. Rather
than re-posting babble on my blog, just hit the delete or edit button...it is really quite simple!
- Bella
Ok so i dont have to comment on your ethnic background, if you really have ALLL those nationalities then hooray for you, thats none of my business.
About that is just odd you go for Argentina instead of going for your actual nationalities, but hey to each its own.
Back to topic, yeah Argentina did, it would be a joke if they would've got a tie from Mexico in the stituation they're now. Number 1 vs number 14 in the world it was only obvious, i wasnt expecting a tie much less a win from my team, just not a 4-1. Alot of mistakes on the Mexican defense but excuses are not for the strong.
Your facts should be on point though, Argentina hasnt prove to be a much better team than Mexico, if you see the stats, the "TIE" is the predominator result between these two teams. Mexico has beat Argentina before, and this last game was only a friendly that has no credit what so ever. I hope to see a match between these two teams again once Mexico gets its playing style on point with the new U-17 World Champions added to the squad. Im sure this will be a fun game to watch like some of the previous mex vs arg matches that actually count.
You dont see actual Mexican soccer fans with knowledge of the sport being all hyped beacuse we beat Peru 4-0 or Belize 9-0 on aggregate. A true sport fan with creditable knowledge knows when to
be happy for a well deserved victory. You should be worried about why Argentina almost lost Ecuador on a game that really counts. They got LUCK on top of it.

no existe nada mas asqueroso que un o una argentina wanna be...que triste. otra cosita, 3-5-2-1? son doce pendeja, aprende a contar.
Why do you have to be such a HATER? I do give the credit to Argentina, but you need to learn how to treat people, treat them just the way you would like to be treated... Plus you are not even an Argentina!!! Get REAL!
