Hey Folks,
After I made that "test drive" video of the Nike Air Legend II Euro Edition, I received a couple of e-mails of Adidas fans telling me of how much better the German brand is... and that Nike is not the right brand for football... and blah, blah, blah...
Well, so why not discuss it here then... If Ronaldinho, Cristiano Ronaldo, Fabregas wear Nike they might be good, but then we have Messi, Beckham, Kaka and Ballack wearing Adidas... hmmm... tough choice uh? And some others like Samuel Eto'o wear Puma...
So here's what I did: I selected three models of the three most worldwide recognized brands and I'll let you choose the one you prefer. (the images link you to the Soccerpro page where you can see the specifications for each boot)

Nike Mercurial Vapor IV / Adidas F50.8 TUNiT / Puma v 1.08 I

Nike Total 90 Laser II / Adidas TRX Predator PowerSwerve / Puma v-Konstrukt II

i really like thos Puma v1.08 I, Also the Adida TUNITS
Every generation of boots come with stuff that may change your mind about which brand to choose. Adidas recently released some versions of wide-feet boots, something i think gives them an edge over Nike, which make narrow boots. Things like that, or blisters, whatever. Last generation of Vapors(III) gave blisters to a 85% approx, i must say, most of reviews read mentioned blisters. So, this new gen MV IV now run a size bigger and zero blisters + they released a leather version. Some problem with the Tunits as well, some lost studs, incredible bog toe box... things like that. This being said, i think that everything depens of the boot that you are looking for, and everything depends on what fits to your feet.
I'm a Nike whore, the designs they make + the performnace of the boots, makes me pick them over other brands. However, i think that adidas will always be a step further Nike, i'm aware that which ever adidas boot i try, it'll be comfortable, and better, most of them are leather.
Hi Stephen, can you please comment on my blog LINK cheers
THE THREE MAJOR BRANDS ARE VERY GOOD IT JUST DEPENDS ON PEOPLE'S STYLES!
Adidas. Puma are too narrow for my feet. Nike's are terrible unless you spend proper money.
Adidas hands down! I own a pair they just look better feel better and trust me they enable you to play better.
Interesting: So far we have 4 Votes for Adidas, 1 for Nike and 2 for Puma (not counting "RoundTheCorner" who chose both Adidas and Puma). Keep sending your comments!
Forget who has been around longer...have you tried on these brands. I'm Nike 100% all the way from the comfort of there shoes and shirts/shoorts I refuse to wear Addidas/Puma jerseys because you sweat like a pig in them and then they stick to you like glue. They have not mastered the "dryfit" concept like Nike has. Maybe next year. That said, for a uncomfortable street shoe Puma has a nice look to them.
I like adidas especially the f50's because of the design and cover for the laces. but the vapors are also very similar but I don't like the big nike sign on the front.
And the lasers and predators have to much curve or so im told. ive heard they are bad for keepers whenevr they kick with them.
but somehow great players where these and they play fine
Adidas. Always adidas. I think it was Run DMC that did it for me.
Luvin the Adidas adipure.
Fine. Puma for me then. a)Tottenham are sponsored by them b)They just look really nice...plus i like that advert for them v1.08

We are a Adidas supported program, Nike has only been around soccer big since after the 1994 WC when they bought up Brazil and then Man Utd. Adidas has been in the game a lot longer and is a truer soccer brand then Nike
I'm on a Puma moment I guess. I have a pair of Puma King and I love them. I used to wear Adidas but once I had problems with the Absolado and decided not to wear them anymore. I don't like Nike. Most of my friends had blisters from wearing them.
