In my second post, iam writing about my views on the current chelsea players and i also like to share my view on the formation that best suits chelsea.

Goal Keepers

Peter Cech -- A great goal keeper and a player any club would like to have in their ranks. According to me, he is chelsea's best buy to date. Great reflexes and height are his assets. Many people say that his powers waned after that collision with stephen hunt, but we all know how good a keeper he is.Really looking forward to see him in action next season where he will definitely try to keep up his rank as one of the top 3 keepers of the world.

Cudicini is the best we can have as an understudy to cech and hilario too is reliable.

Defense

In John Terry and Carvalho we have one of the best center back pairs in the world. Terry is unbeatable in the air and carvalho's knack of being in good positions makes up for the fact that he is not very strong. Torres recently said in an interview that carvalho is the best defender he has ever faced. And we also have big Alex and Ivanovic in our ranks who can be great. Then we have Mancienne whom i believe can emulate Terry.

Bosingwa adds great attacking flair and paulo is sound defensively. Ashley cole and wayne bridge are two of the best leftbacks in england.So flanks are fully protected and the defense looks sound.

Midfield 

This is the area in which chelsea are strong. Just look at the names in the midfield. Lampard,Ballack,Deco,Essien,Mikel,Makelele. This is like a World Star midfield for chelsea. Unbelievable quality there. I think Essien will be the man to watch next season and i also see mikel develop into an end product under Scholari. We surely have the best midfield in the world.

Wingers

We have some quality there down the flanks too.Joe cole finally  fulfilling his potential last season and we also have wright phillips who i think will come good under scholari. He's got the talent but the end product is not there and this can be attributed to the lack of confidence and this can be sorted under scholari. We also have kalou , malouda and scott sinclair. There is raw talent there and can be explosive next term.

Strikers

This is the area that concerns me the most. Drogba is the world's best striker only when he plays with fire and that doesn't happen often these days.Shevchenko used to be great but the goals dried for him but i hope he too will come good under the new coach. Pizarro is waste. Anelka is quality but hasn't shown any of it till now. I think we need to buy a young  striker. Di santo is promising but i dont think he is ready for the premier league yet.

I think chelsea can be great if we follow a 4-4-2 formation with drogba,shevchenko/anelka upfront and joe cole and kalou/sinclair as wingers and the midfield containing Deco,Ballack,Essien (assuming lampard leaves) . Terry,carvalho as CB and bosingwa and cole as the full backs.

Forza Chelsea

This is my first post in ole ole blog. Since a long time, i've been waiting for this kind of a site and am finally happy that i got here. iam a big chelsea fan, possibly because of their grit and determination under jose mourinho. Grant was shit but iam expecting few good things under the scholari regime.

On the transfer activity so far, chelsea bought two new players Bosingwa and deco. Boswingwa showed us that he is a speedy rightback at the euros and he is still 25 and his peak years are surely ahead of him. Deco is an interesting option considering that he will be 31 soon. He's got quality, and a twice champions league winner and we all saw at the euros that when he is determined, he is quite a brilliant player.The fact that chelsea got him for just 7.9 mill pounds makes it more interesting. If he can show the quality he showed at the euros, he can be quite a bargain buy.

I think chelsea now needs a solid striker, some on of the likes of a david villa, huntelaar etc. I expect big things from franoc di santo and am sure that scolari gives him a chance to shine as we know he is a huge supporter of youth.Being a chelsea fan, it's quite eventful when comapred to other clubs.Well, Iam enjoying it.
