Unfortunately for you, me and Levy the distress flares are fired and beneath their cold illumination the rest of the Premier Ships gather to watch the end of the THFC fire Sale.
No amount of courage or calculation can retrieve what is evidently a shambles. Bob's bailed and the second rat now sings his siren song to the Caledonian cloak & dagger man.
The situation is compounded by the inability to magic up replacements. the entirely over wooed Arshavin was a punt that has turned into the way we are planning to pay the rent and but the groceries.
Consultant surgeon Wendy's diagnosis was impeccable. Pervasive pessimisim. But his cure had a false remission and a nasty bout of Ratsoverboard (Insipidus Dessertus) broke out in the Armoury.
The transfers in have not equalled those out for a club so vocal over top four ambition. Simple as. The only bright spot is Woodgate. Speaking as a captain ought to.
What the hell does that tortured piece of writing say?

Fair enough there HH.
However, if we bring in both Pavlyuchenko and Smooth Bum can we return to a state of over optimism?
I think there is no doubt we will lose on Sunday, but hopefully at least we will have brought in some fresh fish that will be ready to actually mount a...
BillyB - I mentioned in the alternative blog (LINK that there are too many examples of extreme optimism and defeatism displayed on here. It can be a laugh to read, but I worry that some are jumping the gun again as they did pre-season.
Come end of play Monday, we'll undoubtedly be stronger than we are no - however I'm holding my breath to see whether we can be good enough. What I mean is not just to break in top4, but to consistently win and do it well.
Im particularly hoping the Huntelaar deal comes off. Not a fan of the smooth bum.
Either way its still not good enough. We are less of a striking threat than we ended last season. That includes the 'Possible' new boys. I wait with baited breath.
Pessimist extreme. You and I are not there so we do not know the nature of business and motivations behind every move, nor the problems that come with it. Leave the club alone to do their work and lets do what we can - support them. I cannot complain about any of the signings, i just have to wait till they all gel. kay

I meant whilst Harry's been awol. someone suggested we use this LINK and have been discussing (in a slightly less tortured way - nice one Nayim) - what Harry has posted above.
Is this cryptic nonsense hiding a certain degree of pessimism, harry? If so, I suggest you get back on the boards, as they're full of news about signings coming in this week!
oi oi hazza,
Last year fifth spot lost 11 in a season, this year third and fourth will lose more then the measly 4-5 they did last time around. If we sign a hatchet in the middle, Charlie from the Moon, and The Hunter to go with Pavlova then we are considerably and justifiably 'opeful.
Ta da
Like most of us I was filled to the brim of hope for a top 4 challenge or maybe even more. Berby was already showing his colours by the end of last season and so I never really thought he would still be here. Get shot now I say at £20million if necessary, he is dragging us down. But the event that really put us back was the shock Robbie Keane departure. It tore the heart out of the dressing room and we lost the galvanising ingredient which would have enhanced the introduction of the new personnel. Instead we have the shambles which has been trying to buy top strikers when we should have been bedded down for the winter. I just hope we can sort this debacle out quickly and get our season going and quick.

The boards are wonderful if you can't get a copy og Closer, Heat or Now magazine I suppose...
I've spent too many years waiting for this moment to come where we look as if we can possibly make a challenge for the top four. We've made some excellent signings so far that just need a little time to settle down. I refuse to give up on the team I love & expect everyone (except the sulker) to give their all for the cause. It's glass-half-full time lads, let's show them what we can do. COYS!
yes we have lost robbie, berbs is a luxary we can ill afford,we need players who want to play when its tough as well as when its easy..watchd the sunderland game on sky and think we were very unlucky to not get a result they had 3 attacks, bently had at least 6 fantastic deliveries which on another day would have brought about 3 goals..balance aint right but we will get there ramos is no mug..lets get palu in and another and get behind the boys COYS

Been busy too, so didnt see the alternative blog. Didnt have time to read through 500 posts on Harrys previous post.
There has been a lot of optimism which has been quickly replaced with defeatism. I just feel frustrated to be honest!
All the encouraging signs we showed in preseason havent got us any points yet. Berba situation has just been a nightmare. I can only hope come Monday we have some new faces in!
Having supported Spurs for decades I know where 'arry is coming from. Whatever we are getting is exciting because it is new for us and the numbers we are spending are big. But what we have lost is one of the most devastating strike teams of recent times in British Club Football whic had the added benefit of magic and intelligence. I think underneath all that lies the sad heavy irony that the team now under Ramos by Sep 1st would have been devastating with that strike pair.
COYS!
The pisser is, other than the protracted nightmare of Berba's Utd switch, is the fact our season will effectively start in a weeks time. Docked points by Levy's determination to hang out for a few more mil. That said with Pav and my prayer of Huntelaar up front, we can still finish fifth. At least none of the teams we're up against come the end of season, have stollen a march on us. Fucking funny to see the scum lose to Fulham too.
COYS let's bloddy sign Huntelaar, then at least we'd have two strikers...
Got ya HH, loud and clear. We need to get things done fast now. Time is running out.
Do you write anything in plain english anymore
I prefer it when you pinch ITK from other sites and claim it as your own.
This stuff is just bobbins.

To be fair, that Russian Website is UEFAs official website. I'd be surprised if they hadn't quoted said player verbatim.
Maybe we should be pitching against Man City for the "Fat" Ronaldo

Oh I understand make sense now
Latest rumors: On thursday Berbatov is gonna sign ManU for £28m. Pavluychenko is 100% ready. Andrei Arshavin, Miguel Veloso och Klaas-Jan Huntelaar are coming to, Veloso got ready last night. Problem with Huntelaar is his very high salery.
I have it on good authority from an impecable source that the transfer window closes on monday - the same day the local PO has a half day - coincidence!!!! I think not.
Something good was due to arrive .... from Russia but I doubt it now as Betty is off after 12 to take part in her womens institute stuff in the afternoon. I am depressed
Perfectspurs.....
Where do you get your rumours from???
Veloso is a name thats been popping up on here for ages yet I've not seen more than one story linking him to us. Huntelaar would be fantastiche as they say in Germany
Any mention on the Corluka situation? Surely we have to strengthen the back line prior to the Monday deadline?...

From his arse?
The only place i have seen Veloso named as a target is on here lol.
I still expect Arshavin to sign though and maybe Corluka. I think that will be all we sign.
Harry where have been? what a cock up, all this coming and going, I just don't know which way to go. Send the sulk to Manure, or the reserves, but we do need the money. For god sake lets end this fiasco, and get back to sensible team that has a good chance of things this season. Please bring in the Russians and lets get on with the season, as bad as it has been.

I think there is no doubt we will lose on Sunday, but hopefully at least we will have brought in some fresh fish that will be ready to actually mount a comeback...
Only 5 and a half days of newspaper spin to go and then we will know where the board are really pitching for us to get to this year.....
At least it will then be about the football (so lets hope the results pick up rather sharpish).
Are there any reports about Roman that are not based on a single really (really) rough / dodgy translation of a Russian website, or could it all be a hoax that all the papers have jumped on? Sorry but false dawns etc etc....
