Dunne Deal Defunct

Sincerity In A Suit.

Robbie Keane won't get a second career as a negotiating envoy for the UN. Perhaps now Spurs will stop using the 'You're both Irish ~ you go speak to him in tongues and get him to sign this...' tactic.

As a follow up to watching Damien 'Is that weekly in me hand, like?' Duff sign for Newcastle United, Pointy Pointy Shouty Bloke now finds himself as playing eyewitness again as the spherical propellants quietly fall of the proposed transfer of Richard Dunne to Tottenham.

In fairness to Bob, who was to know that Duff was more interested in collecting unrare banknotes than playing football? And the events at Eastlands over the part few weeks took us all rather by suprise. Especially the boys at The Daily Mail...

Bottom lines various included the Tottenham proposal being light in the gelt department... No, really.... and the fact he'd have to earn his first team place each week. Even Pompey were offering more...

The death knoll was the arrival of Mark Hughes. With a big sincere arm around the shoulder and a big sincere 'It's alright, Sparky's here now', Dunne's future as a man who could probably get you Berbatov's autograph became nothing more than a crazy man's pipe dream.

Can't say I'm that bothered. Only Portsmouth and Newcastle interested spoke volumes. Decent CBs are not that rare and I'm sure Ramos will find us a decent one. More worried about the lack of noise concerning a DM, perhaps that's a good sign. Another Modricesque rabbit out the hat signing would just about get me through June.

I'd like to think we'd get a least 6th, so that only leaves one place for Man City, Villa, Everton, Portsmouth and (highly unlikely) the barcodes. I think you're right Wunian, Hughes out of job with a big pay off at the end of next season.
On the subject of the new site, a bit wary at first until I found the capability to check out and contact fit footy fans (girls) from other clubs and countries. A bit sad, but you never know.

lol have you noticed how many of them support united?

crazy stuff....

i like this site im getting the hang of it now... i like the dependance of information updates on the users... :)

although one thing i noticed was the fact that there was absolutely no information on the club in there so i had to do a copy and paste job from wikipedia :)

anyways back to the subkect matter... i dont think we would of got dunne anyway we cant guarantee him first team if ledley gets fit.... i know who i would rather have at the back :)

IF King comes back? Seems to me like a big IF as there is nothing but negative rumours (yes rumours I know...) coming back on that front.

Also TMWNN I would hardly say there is an abundance of available top class CBs around.

Woodgate was a risky bargain in my eyes, which has so far proven to be the best signing we have this year (Modric will still have to play before I judge him).

DM is definitely a worry though. I daren't think about next season with Zokora still there...

i have full faith that the king will return.... i know the rumours are saying hes finished etc but woodgate had the same and look at him now!

Thought he would of been a good signing but still, think we will still get a cb in,Ramos will have someone in mind although i agree with wunian and think King has a chance.
