Ledley Legless Again

Tuesday, 12 August 08, 08:35 AM ยท Posted by HarryHotspur

Legless. Faces.

Tottenham's most reverred player has seemingly not only let the side down but watched his Gucci jeans go the same way.

The Daily Mail appear to be positioned Bill Oddie twitcher style outside the premises of Faces Nightclub in Gants Hill. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-1043575/Hes-tottering-hotspur-Worse-wear-footballer-Ledley-King-helped-nightclub.html

And before you start screaming it's a hatchet job and these are recycled snaps from the Carling Cup bender http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-1006503/Ledley-King-gets-red-card-nightclub-action-replay-Carling-Cup-victory-fracas.html you can plainly see these are two separate ocaasions. But the specifics aren't the point. Our captain shouldn't let himself be snapped in a hoop at all.

The only folk who get pleasure from these expose pieces are those selling the pictures and our rivals. There will be those emotionally damaged amongst you reading this who'll berate me for running this. But you don't address what is clearly a problem by sticking your fingers in your ears and shouting 'La La La I Can't Hear You.' If King fans want to bang the Ambassador For The Club drum, then they'll need Ledley to behave more like one.

I don't begrudge Ledders a champagne lifestyle. We've all come out the American Bar with a couple of hostages, a shoe missing and 'an Armed Response Unit en route'... But these public slurpfests are an embarrassment to everyone. I'm not going to get all pop pschologist on you and suggest that our captain's boozing is symptomatic of inner demons or depression. But you have to question why he would get himself into this state so publically.

This guy needs to show a bit more savvy and practice his Ollie Reed impressions far away from obvious low rent media shooting galleries like bleedin' Faces

What concerns me is the fact that in 10 years I've never seen Ledders cause any kind of controversy at all. He's been a quiet pro. Now twice in 6 months he's out getting smashed and snapped. Witch Hunt or personal implosion? Either way I expect Poyet to have a few quiet words with Ledders, and a few loud ones as well.

Firstly, Harry, i wanted to say i love this blog like one of my children....!

Secondly, i am actually in agreement with you on the "inner demons" line of psychology - as PLN said above, Ledders has been almost the perfect statesman for the club for some time now, so to see him like this twice in quick succession is a major concern. Lets just hope it was that minging blonde slipping him some Rhohyphnol that got him in that state.....

Having (not yet) had the pleasure of going to Faces nightclub, what I'd like to know is, is it that good? If our squad members know that they're going to get snapped by the paparazzi going in and out (front, side, or back doors) there must be a reason to go anyway.

Perhaps the Essex girl - fridge comparison is not just a myth after all? Perhaps they've installed a Vodka/Crystal/'gnac luge? 8O Perhaps they get discounts and free drinks to go there?

What I would suggest is somehow, if possible, that they change their venue of choice. Wouldn't surprise me if the landlords spiked their OJ's just for the extra publicity?

WRT King Ledders, I can only imagine that he's having a crisis at the moment. If we don't want one of our legends to fall down the same route as another (get well soon Gazza) we've got to pull round and support THFC's great servant. After this, I hope things can only get better for him, and he finishes off the season lifting the UEFA cup with his Captains armband justified by his captain's performance.

ASIDE:
1. Tax-sin. The extent of Citehs money problems is getting more pronounced!
2. Corluka. We submitted our paperwork, but Citeh didn't?
3. Nene. Whats with the sudden demand for left footed attacking midfielders? AA?

PS. Harry - those pics of Mucca were a rancid thing to see first thing :(

Couldn't care less if I'm honest. The only person who needs to know about this is Juande, and if it wasn't for photographers there would be no 'bad example for the kids' etc etc. As I said, the only person who needs to know if Juande and he can react however he feels.

In fact, is there any chance of removing them? There's a strong chance they'll put me off my dinner tonight too.

LTRFTP Welcome, Dad.

Just to add, whilst old Ledley is 'master of his own destiny, it's pretty poor form that Faces let's such a high prolfile customer get into such a fix.

How much is he spending with them?

Would it really have been too much to chuck him and his pals in a nice car with a couple of complimentary litres of Woodpecker before he reached the 'my underpants are on inside out everybody!' stage?

Haha... people comparing trousers, belts and briefs with the CC-fiesta. =D

Look, just because it didn't happen this spring doesn't automatically qualify it as the other night. That being said, good on you mate. Being one of the best central backs, and only being able to prove it once a month. He'll rip for us come the weekend. Alfons Alves will be crying at half-time.

Faces was after the cup final.......... Funky Budda was....well,er, does not actually say but lets say it was on Sunday, who gives a toss? some do and some dont, thats the beauty of opinions, they dont have to match!!
Anyway Just on the point above, all the boys were pretty blasted that night, I know, I was there, but no one could get near them and they had drinks brought to them in their area. To my knowledge thats the one and only time Ledders has been wankered in faces.

Anyway I would do Heather hands down, I think mental aside, shes worth a good seeing to, even if she is a little wonky whilst doing doggy!

Basiclly the ideal Faces customer walks in buys some champs and finds a good spot strikes a pose and stays there in the same spot and same pose in till the doormans turn the lights on... its not a good night out at all!!!

I have been there about 5-10 times and everytime i have been there i have bumped into Spurs players and Eastenders cast... but they have never been in Kings state.

Aaron "yes blood" Lennon is a nob i can tell you that for sure... its bloody well he has learnt to cross a ball this year!!!

When i approach a player from our club i dont expect to hear YES BLOOD come out its mouth!!!

Fucking jumped up rude boy!! ;)

There must be something in the water down Highbury way, perhaps too much mercury? Or some of that Rohypnol mentioned earlier? :?

Can't begrudge him a few drinks after the thrashing we dished out to Roma but someone needs to give him a smack on the head for getting into that state....can't recall seeing any other team Captains being caught this bad recently !!

I think you'll find the mystery substance in question to be 'human urine' from upstream...

Sir Paul probably went thru a fad of embibing his own in the late 70's.

What an appalling side effect. Having to gargle Listerine by the pint is one thing, but finding Heather Mills hanging off the end of your kn*b is another matter entirely.

Apologies to those readers breakfasting.

I don't mind him getting smashed, but he has had ALL summer to do that, did he really need to do it the Sunday before we start the season?

Been thinking, maybe he knows that he will never fulfil his potential due to knackered knees and is chandelling it badly? We really need another center back - sadly probably to start most of the games with Woody :-(

Why do Spurs players always end up in such shit nightclubs?

It reminds of the time I was Darren Anderton in Eros, Enfield when he was supposedly injured.

well, at least they've got tommorows paper sorted now....."Harry Hotspur long lost Dad found"

On the Berbie Doll note, does anyone else think the papers are just doing their usual and brainwashing everyone with that? I mean, he's always been stroppy on the field, and he's always looked like he can't be arsed. I don't see why people suddenly think its a sign he wants to go, when he's made absolutely no public comment about it?

Did anyone else also take ages to figure out who "Jonny Two Saints" was a reference to? Or should u just hang my head in shame....?!
