Well here you go folks. I'll wager that never before have so many of you searched the faces of our players for a 'tell'. Well that's what I found myself doing.

To call this kickabout a one sided affair would be an understatement. Twenty seventy - Nil or thereabouts. Goals from Lennon and Steed and brace a piece for Pekhart, Dos Santos, Pekhart and O'Hara. Tavernes, from the latin; pub team.

well done harry, good video. PEKHART looked good and dos santos will be very good for us this year, if he can have someone to provide the balls to. it's a shame about BERBATOV & KEANE, we need some good replacements, like HUUNTELAR, ARSHAVIN, VILLA, and definetly DIARRA .... KEEP IT UP HARRY..

Nice one Harry.Respect for sticking these goals on. Never again shall I label you a click hungry money grabber.
Thought berba looked happier than he did last season.
Looks like Lil Dan Levy is gettin the fans ready for the departure of our strikers by reporting the northern red scum bags.

With the prospect of losing our 2 best players will we have a start to the season like last year If we do and we are in the bottom 3 in November what will happen to the management team - will they go the same way as Martin Jol?

Irrespective of the outcome and futures of Robbie and Dimitar, we are continuing to seek to bring in quality, talented players for the future, who want to play in a Spurs shirt."

Also, HH, no comments on Levys recent statement regarding Berbatov and Keane?

Glad he has finally said something but we could have done with a statement of intent like this after the end of the season!
I think this is a back-covering admission that they are both leaving - last two paragraphs being the scariest part....

"I have absolutely no wish to sell either player and to date we have not accepted any offer for either. However, when a player's head is turned and their commitment is absent, particularly when they occupy key positions such as that of striker, they become a negative influence in a team dressing room in which they were once a positive addition and influence. This is the situation we now have on our hands, with BOTH DIMITAR AND ROBBIE HAVING MADE IT CLEAR THAT THEY WISH TO LEAVE FOR MANCHESTER UTD AND LIVERPOOL RESPECTIVELY."

"Irrespective of the outcome and futures of Robbie and Dimitar, we are continuing to seek to bring in quality, talented players for the future, who want to play in a Spurs shirt."

I think Fergie has shot himself in the foot on the berba front. I might be wrong on this one, but Man Utd dont often come out and openly declare "we will sign him" regardless of who it is. I think he has done this to deflect some attention away from the "ronaldo to madrid" saga. Now Levy is notoriously a hard man to deal/negotiate with - will he issue a complaint about Utd and then sell him to them? doubtful. He may turn round and say to teams in Europe.. i.e. Barca, Madrid, Milan, Juve' etc... "£20m and he is yours"... I persoanlly would be very suprised to see Berba in a UTD shirt come first game of the season.
one final point - I think Fergie is prick.. and Rafa.. dont get me started.. if Robbie wants to join a very "average" (IMO) team, then let him... he'll end up warming the bench when Rafa reverts to his Reina, 8 defensive players, Gerrard and Torres tactic... (im not bitter, honest!!)

What's your take on the Benitez/SAF thing Harry. ManU fans seem to think it's nothing like the Ronaldo situation and Pool fans seem to think we are as guilty of tapping up as them (re: Ramos).
Thing is SAF bid for berba was told not for sale and then went to the press, when he should of come back with a better bid or forgot about it. Real enquired about Ronaldo availability and were told not for sale and then started a press campaign, so it sounds the same to me.
Benitez is possibly worse as he didn't bid anything just tries to unsettle the players thourgh the press so we will take a lower offer as he has no money.
The Ramos situation was very different as I believe that we had been given permission to talk to him but kept it hush, hush as they did not want to put further pressure on BMJ, they made no direct statements to the press until a deal was done, everything else printed was pure specualation.
BTW. Paddy power are offering 50/1 on Bent for prems top scorer. I personally think given the chance he will bag a stack for us, esp with Gio and Modric providing some good crosses and through balls that he thrives on. I think this is why Ramos has brought these players, to play to his strengths.
I will go out on a limb and put my faith and money in Bent and you never know he might actually show some loyalty as well being a self confessed spurs fan.

Dr Carlos, I will be happy just to see a spurs player be the prems top scorer.

Very scary times. Am resorting to Jamie Spurs tactics of hitting refresh every couple of minutes on newsnow hoping to hear some good news!

Well the end of an (other)era and to anyone who doesn't think this is just a game about money, think on. remember the times when it was a bit more innocent, when you could come to a match for a few quid instead of half a weeks or a whole weeks wages? well it's bin over for a long while and these days we gotta smoke em while we got em. Levy is doing a damage limitation on the two who want away. You can blame them for not wanting to wear the shirt that made them worth this much, blame the game for making it be this way.
