k you say the Premier League and that's your opinion but think about it why are they always struggling to convince the best players to play in their league Ronaldinho for example looks like he will never play in the Premier League. After having basically two opportunities in his career to do so. Also why are the biggest players in the Premier League always keen on moves to Spain or Italy
Sorry, can not agree with you at all. I definately feel that our very own Primiership is the 'strongest' league in Europe (not the world, we could never prove that). Why do we never see names such as Ronaldinho here?... They know they would not be able to adapt to the fast physical nature of the Premiership, we have seen it time and time again. The English game is almost a different sport altogether. If a top player learns his game in Spain or Italy and spends the majority of their carrear there, it is inevitable that they will find it extremely tough to adapt to the Premiership (and visa versa). BUT.... That is not to say that it is the best, just as you can not proclaim La Liga to be the best. The truth is they are entirely different games, and it depends on the spectator which is the 'best'. To me personally I prefer The English League, for the simple reason that it is infinately more entertaining, in terms of fast phisycal football. I find the Spanish and Italian leagues a bit too slow for my liking (climate perhaps?). As for the likes of Henry and Ronaldo, Henry obviously wnted to experience another league, and Ronaldo is a prime example of footballing greed. The quality of players in each league is most certainly on a par. It is personal preference as to which style of football an individuall prefers which dictates what is deemed as the 'best league'.
oh Davros Malloy! my my my you hit the nail on the head. It's really down to which style you like the most. I agree with you 100%. I prefer the Spanish style because of the killer passes and how every attacking and defensive play is so well orchestrated. The EPL is fast but lots of times there is a lot of flare and many goals happen by chance in my opinion. In my view not beautiful soccer, teams tend to win ugly a lot in the EPL. However I disagree with what you said about Ronaldinho, trust me he could play anywhere!

I would say that both Spanish & English Leagues, are on par with each other at present.
Although the Spanish has been stronger in the past... The mere fact that 3 English teams were in the CL Semi Final says a lot about how strong the Premiership has become.
It is not technically as good as in Spain, but it's fast & furious and many would agree more exciting? But again as has been said on here already, that is down to personal preference.
lol i knew someone would bring up the fact that they were three EPL teams in the CL semi-finals but remember we have to take into account that many of Europe's strongest teams were not in the champions league last season Bayern & Juve are two perfect examples...
