Back at the turn of the year Weymouth FC Chairman Malcolm Curtis was being criticised for a rumoured intention to change the colours of the clubs home kit.
Weymouth are called "The Terras" being short for Terra-cotta and yet don't actually wear a kit of that colour. They wear claret and blue shirts and have done for ages.
As part of the crest re-branding exercise though, the club was thought to be interested in taking last seasons third shirt, or this seasons away shirt (pictured below)..
...and adopting it as the new 1st choice colours.
It appears though after a recent story in the media that the colour that should have been considering was red...
Yes red!
This is all based on the assertion from new Saracens head rugby coach Eddie Jones who has introduced a red change strip for the "men in black" this season.
Jones claims that teams that play in red are luckier than others and as a result have more success.
And it is certainly working with the London side being in 4th place in the Premiership and Glen Jackson (a mainstay of my fantasy rugger team) top point scorer.
So what do you reckon ? Terras in red?
never gonna happen!
