Bleuurgh - Dont come to close readers I have been stricken with a sore throat and chesty cough...

Rubbish.

There is a match tonight of course against Bristol Rovers, a friendly and some news in the form of a strange outburst from Marcus Browning.

Now there are those who have accused this website of becoming no more than another mouth piece for the club, but I have strongly maintained that this site is independant and will be critical of both the club and its employees when neccessary. This is one of those times.

Read the article yourselves if you have yet to and see if you agree with my appraisal.

Marcus, our club is not awash with money my friend... You should know that?! And if you think your contribution last season justified anything other than a pay cut you are very naive.

If you accepted the cut and then played out of your skin for the first half of the season then go knock on John Hollins' door and give him no choice but to pay you what you are worth, I would have the upmost respect for you.

If I read the article correctly you get a players and coaches wage? For goodness sake matey, there are people scrimping and saving to come and watch football (especially the over 65's at the Wessex), if you feel you can get more elsewhere then on you go. If you are looking to get paid up the last two years of your coaches contract before you move on then I despair.

JHMBE has gone up in my estimatation for taking this stance and I hope Marcus sees sense and doesn't make this a huge issue. There is being professional and there is being unrealistic.

As for the contract situation, I accept that wasn't Marcus' doing, but it goes to show some of the ridiculous deals that have gone on at our club in the past.

No more of this please Mr Curtis.

Right I am off to calm down and have a strepsil.
