Youtube video embedding now enabled!

Tuesday, 20 March 07, 06:31 PM

OK bloggers, I am pleased to say that we have now enabled the embedding of youtube videos into your blog posts.

As of today, you can now embed videos from the following services into your blog posts:

Here's an example of how to do it for a Youtube video:

1) Copy the "embed" code from the video you want. e.g. from Youtube:

<object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/p21ZC9pBZDs"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/p21ZC9pBZDs" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>

2) On your blog post on OleOle, when editing or creating the Blog Post, click the little "HTML" icon along the top of the Content window.

3) In the Window that pops up, paste in the embed code you copied above from Youtube wherever you want to place the video

4) Click Update

That's it! Once you Publish your blog post, the video will be embedded. The steps are very similar for Google Video and most of the other video hosting services.

And to demonstrate, do check out this very funny video (get your speakers on first for the best effect):

PS: I am the cto of OleOle, so feel free to drop me a message anytime or leave me some comments if there are features that you would like to see on OleOle. I'd love to hear from you!
