UTUELI CLAIM TOP SPOT IN AMERICAN SAMOA

Peace Brothers and Utueli Youth were the big movers during American Samoa’s men’s football competition at the weekend with both teams retaining their 100% winning start to the
season. Peace Brothers went to top of Pool 1 after a 10-0 win over Manuula Heat at the Pago Park complex, managing to stave
off nearest challengers Konica FC after their 6-0 victory over struggling Flame On. Former table-toppers FK SKBC were
involved in a thrilling 5-5 draw with Fagasa, who, despite their goalscoring exploits, remain locked in mid-table. In
another high scoring action packed match, Pago Youth gained their first point of the season with a dramatic 4-4 draw with Tafuna Jets. In Pool 2, Konica Airbase and Utueli keep top spot after recording victories over Aua Old School (5-2) and Pago Eagles (3-0)
respectively. Pansa kept their semi-final hopes alive after a tough 1-1 draw against Tafuna Jets.
Ilaoa & Toomate were the big winners in Pool 2 with an 8-2 victory over Autali that lifts Ilaoa & Toomate from seventh place and
into semi-final contention. The top two teams from each pool qualify for a semi-final berth. In the women’s competition, Black Rose, Pansa and Pago all kept 100% winning records to occupy the top three slots of the championship race after wins
over Utueli (4-0), Tafuna Jets (7-0) and Kip McGrath Women (3-0) respectively.

Biggest win of the round saw Lion Heart defeat Tafuna Jets 2 by 14-0 with Fagasa defeating Brave Heart 6-1.
