Morning,
The press is only talking about Ronaldo and the possibility of Eto'o coming to the Bernabeu, which I will talk about later. The king of assists, Guti has held a press conference and talked about a lot of stuff. Here is a recap:
Does Real Madrid need Cristiano Ronaldo?
Real Madrid needs good players and I think we currently have a great squad. I think Cristiano is the best player that could join any team nowadays. We would naturally be delighted if he came here.
This is the same crap that you would hear from any footballer in the world. They just talk good about eachother which is professional. Don't get me wrong, I still believe Ronaldo is one of the best in the world, but the way he has been dealing with the ongoing rumors is silly. He should either say I want to come or stay in England, it is simple right?
Does the squad talk about it (Ronaldo's saga)?
No, we are pretty relaxed about the whole matter. We have a great group of players, similar to the one we had last year but with the additiion of young players who were loaned out to other teams last season. We are waiting to see if more men join us, but we are strong to face the upcoming campaign if none arrive.
Nothing interesting here, but it is good to hear that the sqaud is relaxed and they are not bothered by the Ronaldo stuff.
Do you think you have greater chances of playing for Spain now that Vicente del Bosque is the national coach?
I had cero chances before, so I guess there is a smaller chance now. It's hard anyway because the team just won the Euro 2008 and has a young squad that I think he will continue to have faith in.
I just don't understand why Guti has never played for Spain. I mean he was and still one of the best midfielders in the world (sadly when he is in mood only), but as he said, it is pretty difficult to get on board now, because the team needs young blood and Spain has a lot of talented blood.
How is Robinho feeling? Has he told you guys what he intends to do?
I think he is very happy. He wakes up every morning at 8, turns on his music and dances... I don't think there's anything wrong with him. He hasn't told us anything, but it looks like he wants to stay here.
Hopefully this is the case. Robinho as I said a million time, is a great player, he has the potential to be the best, he just needs consistency and help from the team. For Robinho to win a personal award, the team need to snatch the Champions League, that is mandatory unless there is no competition around.

Alright. Here is a little silly rumor coming from Barcelona. Mundo Deportivo, on its home page, says that Schuster is interested in Samuel Eto'o. Nah, impossible, the end of the world, the fans will blow up the stadium, Calderon will be assassinated.
I just can't see it happening, but Guti says it could happen.
A newspaper in Barcelona says Schuster may be interested in Samuel Eto'o... What do you think about the possibility of sharing a dressing room with him again?
I did so once and the truth he is one of the great players around. We are very good friends. He is a great person and a fantastic player. I think he could do much for Real Madrid. He will work well wherever he is. He is a great footballer and Real Madrid should always sign great players
How do you think the fans would feel about it?
Our fans are understanding and I think we will all be happy if he joins and scores goals for us. This is all speculation nevertheless.
No the fans are not understanding. Maybe I'll be understanding when he comes, but not the fans in Spain. In their eyes, he is Barcelona, he is the enemy. He made offensive comments about us. Maybe we mistreated him in the past and I think it is shame that Real let such a great talent go, but we made him and he aint coming back. Additionally, clubs like Arsenal, AC Milan and Chelsea are interested in him. There is much competition so If we assume that he wants to come back and we want him back, that won't be easy, but as I said it is extremely impossible that he comes.
Thaaaats about it. Silly rumors and old stuff, this summer is boring, but hey, the league is underway and it is gonna be rockin'
More tomorrow folks!

i think that Marca and Goal.com r best.
R.Calderon is not interested in Eto'o
Nah, Goal.com translates Marca's Spanish articles, and Marca usually make up stories, but this story was not run by Marca but by Mundo Deportivo, A Barcelona-based Paper.
I believe that Ronaldo should stay in England!
Hey y'all i just got this from Skysports.com,and Rajab is right its impossible for Real Madrid to sign Et'o...........
.........
Ramon Calderon has dismissed reports that Real Madrid want to sign Samuel Eto'o and claimed that the club are now just passive observers of Cristiano Ronaldo's next move.
Los Merengues' supremo was asked about the latest rumours in the Spanish media that saw the reigning league champions linked with their former striker, who now plies his trade at Camp Nou.
Just as was the case when the Blaugrana were linked with Robinho, the non-aggression pact between the two sides stands and Calderon explained that is why he had not even considered Eto'o.
Denial
"There is no Eto'o case. I do not know where this has come from because more than anything, it is logical, that Barcelona would not sell a player to Real Madrid," Calderon told Marca.
"We have a very strong squad that has just won the league. If we do end up signing players, there will be very few and they will be very good.......
and this is better because dont like the playing style of ET'O

hey Rajab,is there's any possibility for Real Madrid to sign Werder Bremen's Diego??!

Nah, I don't think so. Diego is pretty much like Sneijder, except that the later is more experienced. I don't think that we need him, we already have Robben, Robinho and Drenthe in addition to Guti and Sneijder, also there is Higuain.
I am glad that Guiti shares the ssame opinion like me
i am real madrid for ever and i like what guti said the only things in why the still thinking in cristiano ronaldo we don't need him he thinks he is the best no es wrong sorry for fans for cristiano he is hansome but he think y could lay order people no
i love team the way it is now

Eto'o is definitely not coming to Madrid not after all the things that he has said. Also he won't fit into Schusters system. Eto'o is most effective with a trident formation like the one that Barca played with Ronaldinho and Messi. For Cameroon he plays along side another striker and he is not that effective. Guti and Raul are just trying to please the board with the comments on Ronaldo.

Thanks. Just been busy but it's gr8 to be back.
14 Madridistas have commented on "Guti says Ronaldo would be a good signing + Schuster interested in Eto'o"
hey i just read in www.realmadrid.dk that Robinho rejected Real Madrid's offer,is that true? please Rajab i want the true thing about this rumour!!

That site just scraps content from Tribalfootball (a crappy site), Goal.com and pretty much every soccer site, so I'd say the rumors are false. If you find them in places like Guardian, Telegraph or Skysports then they may hold truth.
