Robinho to Chelsea?

Robinho - Real Madrid

I know when a rumor is a rumor and when it is not and to be honest this one doesn't to be just another "silly rumor". Robinho's agent, Vagner Ribeiro, says that he has recently met with Chelsea officials and discussed a possible move to the Stamford Bridge.

"It's true that Chelsea are interested in signing Robinho," said Ribeiro."They have been after him for a while and there has been much more contact since Scolari became the new Chelsea coach.I met with [Frank] Arnesen in London and he confirmed to me that Chelsea wanted my player for next season."

His agent also claims that Real Madrid no longer value Robinho and that their plan to include him in C.Ronaldo's deal is simply indicating that his client is no longer appreciated at the Spanish club (which I doubt). He even compared the two (Robinho & Ronaldo)

"Neither Robinho nor I like the fact that Real Madrid can use him as part exchange in their bid to sign Cristiano Ronaldo," he told Spanish sports daily AS.
"We don't like this attitude and we want Madrid to start valuing Robinho because at the moment they're not. Robinho is as good a player as Cristiano Ronaldo or better. The difference is that Cristiano Ronaldo reached the Champions League final and Robinho didn't. But if Robinho had won such a title he would be at the same level as Cristiano."

Now, there is no smoke without fire. It is 100% true that Chelsea have contacted Robinho but what is not true is that Real undervalue him. Calderon, Pedja and Bernd Schuster, all know that Robinho is an integral part of the squad and played a key role in the league win. Additionally, Real can't sell him unless they get Cristiano Ronaldo who is unlikely to join us at the moment even though he himself declared that he wants the move. It is pretty difficult for us and for him.

Another reason is that I believe that Robinho prefers the Spanish league. I don't think he'll feel comfortable playing in the English Premiership. His style of play is more attached to the Spanish league than to any other league in the world. And also his family. Would they leave Spain a place which is similar to Brazil. They aint agree if it is up to them.

Oh c'mon! What does Robinho want from this move? A prestigious club? He is already at one. A-list teammates? He has a ton. More money, maybe but unlikely. Hookers? I dunno - it just doesn't make sense to me.

The fact that Scolari is Chelsea's coach is irrelevant. Some claim that he has personal connections with Robinho and could convince him to come as he recently did with Deco and is reportedly trying with Kaka.

The bottom line is that Robinho will not leave unless Ronaldo comes...

 Whats your take on this?

Rajab, one main reason why I don't want Ronaldo to come to Madrid is the possibility of losing Robinho. Maybe my sentiments are riding over me but I hate to see Robinho leave us. It took Ronaldo 4 to 5 years at Manchester to be where he is and Robinho has just been with us for 3 years and has proven what he can do last season. Please let Calderon keep his head up not to let the boy leave. My heart is pounding.

Well, that is not a valid reason. What do you mean by "better"? Real is a club that has history, not a club that is looking for history. Be realistic, dude;)

Chelsea are better what?!
He will never leave!

If he leaves to Chelsea he is finished! :(
