There used to be a time when you disappeared for a weekend break and it was really that... a break. Now, however, it's different as the internet age enables you to connect via phone, laptop or PSP etc. So I'll be blogging from the Bourgogne region hopefully this weekend as I sample some of the area's wonderful wines (even if it's while meeting the parents in law!).
Anyway before packing and deciding on what gadgets to leave at home some quick snippets from around the Basel press.
L'Equipe has an interview with Robert Pires - reliving the memories of the World Cup win in 1998 before a 10th anniversary match on Saturday. He also talks about the similarities between himself and David Trezeguet's current situation. Plus the normal L'Equipe "Info du Jour".
Locally, the big news is that Ivan Ergic will not be captain of FC Basel for the forthcoming season.
