OFC U12 Festival of Football

THE SPIRIT OF THE OFC U-12 FESTIVAL OF FOOTBALL

Festival of Football playersThe OFC U-12 Festival of Football is removed from the traditional tournament format by introducing a compulsory cultural element to the football aspect of the event. All teams are required to partake in a day of cultural exchange designed to promote understanding between players and of their surroundings and create friendships with their peers.

The first OFC U-12 Festival of Football was held in 2006 in Fiji with the competition won by New Zealand's United Soccer1 squad led by Keith Pritchett and Cameron Mitchell.

United Soccer1 represented both New Zealand and OFC at the Danone Nations Cup in Lyon, France, playing against teams such as South Africa and France with great credit.
