KEAT SUSPENDED, FINED FOR SEND OFF

Friday, 07 March 08, 12:29 PM

AUCKLAND – New Zealand will face the Solomon Islands in today’s crucial Beijing Olympic men’s football qualifier in Fiji without key midfielder Dan Keat.

The Dartmouth College (USA) player has been found guilty of on-field “assault” at the Oceania qualifying tournament in Lautoka by football’s world governing body FIFA who have handed down a three match suspension and a 3000 Swiss Franc (NZ$3675) fine.

Solo team has everything to win this game. They have the skills, very fast and very fit physically. If they can coup with NZ mentally, I 100% sure they will win this game.

Well I suppose if Solympics gets over the hurdle this afternoon, the NZ team and media will put the blame on the Fiji heat/sun. But my friend James do not forget to cheer on my behalf for the
    solo boys this afternoon.

See the clever boys are out again. Nice to see that consistent cheating in Oceania officials again. A player gets punched and he gets suspended and fined while the puncher walks away Scot free.
Sooner the roll up Oceania and it all moves toanother confederation the better. Roll on Asia.

Yes, because FIFA are closely watching a tinpot competition in Lautoka. They sign it FIFA, but the decisions (including those during the match) were by incompetent Oceneanian officials. The
    one
things that does stay consistent in Oceania.
