LAUTOKA – Welcome to Churchill Park, Lautoka, for Match Day 2 of the OFC Mens Olympic Football Tournament as Solomon Islands attempt to keep its winning start to the tournament going against Cook Islands.

The teams have been named with Solomon Islands coach Luke Eroi sticking to the players that dispatched Papua New Guinea 6-1 on Match Day 1. Benjamin Totori, Joachim Rande and Joses Nawo will test Cook Islands organization and defensive discipline all the way.

Eddie Nagitini is the only injury in the Solomon Islands camp.

Cook Islands have rested Joseph Le Mouton while Adrian Shepherd and Ngatungane Tangimetua are both injured.

Its hot and humid in Lautoka as a bank of cloud gathers in the distance, a precursor to the expected thunderstorms that have been common throughout this tournament so far.

3' - Early attack from the Cook Islands leads to a header on goal by John Bataillard tipped over by Shadrock Ramoni in the Solomon goal

5' COok Islands have made the best start, Solomons are slow getting out of the blocks.

7' The players are working hard in the heat of the day, and the pace of the game is considerably slower than the Solomons previous 6-1 romp of PNG

9' GOAL - Solomon Island 1-0. Totori fires a rocket into the top corner from just outside the box after a good pass from Joachim Rande.

12' Good work between Totori and Maemae leads to a shot from Maemae which flys just over the bar

14' The Solomons look like theyre on cruise control as they have now taken total control of this match and the possession

15' SLick work from Benjamin Totori leads to a shot which the goalkeeper saves between his legs.

16' Tame shot hit straight at wall and follow up again cleared by the Cook Island defence

17' GOAL - 2-0 Solomon Islands. Great buildup play between Maemae and Nawo leads to Maemae capping off a clever one-two to clinically deposit the ball in the bottom right corner from just outside the box. Great goal.

62' - GOAL - SOLOMON ISLANDS 6-0. Jases Nawo scores after a one-two with Totori opens up the COok Island defense. His original shot rifles off the post and he reacts first to the rebound to steer home.

68' GOAL -  SOLOMON ISLANDS 7-0. Eddie Brogan from the Cook Islands drags down Bejamin Totori in the box. Totori steps up and dispatches the penalty into the bottom right corner.

71' First shot of the second half for the Cook Island, as Paavo Mustonen lets one fly

73' Shot from Ngatamaine Sila tests the Solomon keeper who turns it away for a corner kick.
