Fred de Jong - OFC Vice-President


Fred De Jong is a former New Zealand football international who played professionally with Fortuna Sittard in the Netherlands. De Jong’s career saw him take in spells with Marconi Stallions and Football Kingz in the Australian National Soccer League.

De Jong’s domestic football career saw him play for former New Zealand greats Mount Wellington and Central United. De Jong won 21 full international caps for New Zealand and scored five goals from1984-1993.

Since retiring from playing De Jong has taken up a media role with Sky Television in New Zealand commentating on matches in the Hyundai A-League, international and OFC O-League matches. Fred De Jong is also a director on the board of New Zealand Soccer.

David Chung - OFC Senior Vice-President

David Chung

David Chung was elected to the position of PNGFA President in 2004 and has overseen the growth of the game in Papua New Guinea to a position of strength and influence in a nation mostly enamoured with other football codes.

Chung – a former coach, player and referee - was elected as OFC Senior Vice-President at the OFC Congress in Port Moresby in January 2007 with FIFA President Joseph S. Blatter in attendance and alongside OFC President Reynald Temarii was instrumental in bringing former football international superstars Wynton Rufer and Christian Karembeu to Papua New Guinea to help promote football.

Focus has switched from developing the full international team to women’s and grassroots football. Chung’s implementation of a semi-professional league – the PNGFA National Soccer League - with the potential to attract television coverage is aimed at making the game commercially viable and to help raise standards across the board.

Chung was nominated as 2007 SP Sports Administrator of the Year in Papua New Guinea by a host of media.

Martin Alufurai

Martin Alufurai - OFC Executive Committee


Martin Alufurai was General Secretary for the National Olympic Committee of the Solomon Islands (NOCSI) and Vice-President of Solomon Islands Football Federation (SIFF) before a convincing victory saw him elected as SIFF President in July, 2005.

Alufurai’s affinity with club football in the Solomon Islands saw him hold the presidency of the highly successful Honiara-based club Laugu FC from 1997-2001 before he became a board member on the National Sport Council of the Solomon Islands.

Alufurai has overseen the continued development and popularity of football in his country including the qualification of the national beach soccer team for the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup – Rio de Janeiro 2006 where the Bilikiki Boys defeated CAF champions Cameroon 5-2 in the opening match.

In 1984 Alufurai held the position of manager with Solomon Islands full international team before entering the world of football administration two years later when he began the first of two terms as SIFF General Secretary.

Lee Harmon - OFC Executive Committee

Lee Harmon 

Cook Islands Football Association (CIFA) President Lee Harmon has overseen the implementation of the FIFA Goal programme in the small island nation of just over 14,000 inhabitants. Harmon has previously held the position of OFC Treasurer and witnessed the appointment of Australian Tim Jerks as the Cook Islands full international team coach.

Harmon points to the Cook Islands narrow 2-0 loss to New Zealand in June 2001 as one of the nation’s most stirring performances. Cook Islands most recent return to full international competition came at the OFC Beach Soccer Championship – Tahiti 2006 where the team finished in fourth place.

Under Harmon’s tenure CIFA has relocated its administrative operations to the National Academy in Matavera becoming the hub for football development in the country. The National Academy itself features two international sized pitches, accommodation and education and seminar centres.

Lee Harmon was a member of the organising committee for the FIFA U-20 Men’s World Cup – Canada 2007.

Ahongalu Fusimalohi - OFC Executive Committee

Ngalu Fusimalohi

Ahongalu Fusimalohi was appointed to the FIFA Executive Committee in 2002 and continues to oversee all matters football-related in Tonga. Tonga Football Association is the only sports administrative body in Tonga to employ staff on a full-time basis.

Fusimalohi holds several FIFA appointments including a position on the FIFA Emergency Committee, FIFA Finance Committee and FIFA Media Committee. Fusimalohi is a qualified broadcaster and journalist. He has turned down several opportunities to work for other sports administrations with the FIFA Goal project helping establish football as the number one go-ahead sport in the Friendly Islands.

Fusimalohi has a strong media background having previously worked in print, radio and television broadcast.

Lambert Maltock - OFC Executive Committee


Vanuatu Football Federation (VFF) Vice-President and former VFF General Secretary Lambert Maltock has experienced a meteoric rise to the top of football administration thanks to a committed involvement within football and local government in Vanuatu.

He is a former Secretary General of the Malampa Province and has experience working alongside the European Union in Vanuatu. Maltock was voted onto the OFC Executive Committee at the OFC Congress in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea in January, 2007.

Claude Fournier - OFC Executive Committee

Claude Fournier 


Claude Fournier is currently President of the Federation de Football Nouveau Caledonienne and OFC Treasurer. Fournier was elected to the President’s position at the Federation Caledonienne de Football in March 2000 and was encouraged to pursue full FIFA membership for the French Overseas Territory by UEFA President Michel Platini and French Football Federation President Claude Simonet.

Fournier was instrumental in New Caledonia joining OFC as a full member association and recently saw the island of 220,000 inhabitants perform with distinction at the OFC U-20 Men’s Championship – New Zealand 2007. The inclusion of New Caledonia’s champion club in the inaugural 2007 OFC O-League competition provided further encouragement that football is progressing positively in the territory.

Claude Fournier is a member of the FIFA Associations Committee.
