Cesc Fàbregas is a twenty year old that has achieved more awards and recognitions in his short time with
Arsenal FC than most professional soccer players do in their whole career. In only his second season with the team, he played in both the FA Cup Championship, when Arsenal defeated
Manchester United, and for the FA Community Shield. In 2006, after the departure of captain
Patrick Vieira he took on the starting midfield position. He excelled at his new role with Arsenal, earning himself the Golden Boy and Player of the Month Award, two months in a row.
Fabregas has not only been successful on the club level, but he has also earned awards on the international level. While playing for Spain in the FIFA U-17 tournament in 2003, he was awarded the MVP award. He also played with Spain on the senior level during the FIFA World Cup in 2006 becoming the youngest football player in the history of Spain. His performance on the field earned him a nomination for the Young Player of the World Cup award.
Currently Fabregas plays for both Arsenal and the
Spain national football team.
