Olympique Lyon and France striker Karim Benzema has extended his contract at the French champions until 2013. It comes in the face of much speculation of him leaving for the bigger leagues,
although he has always maintained that he wanted to try and win the Champions League with Lyon (his home club) before going elsewhere.
