it is the son brother. Seeing how good he's supposed to be, he'd be w welcome addition. Any signing that could lead to the transfer of that lazy numpty Eboue would be more than welcome.
Well he's a left winger and we could do with one of those regardless of whether Hleb stays or not. (I'm hoping for the latter there I'll be honest)
Sixteen million is a lot of cash though.
The last time Wenger splashed that much we ended up with Reyes and what a whinging little c*nt he turned out to be. Let's hope this one will be different if it turns out to be true eh?
Bronsemonkey i think that comment about Reyes is a bit odd. Granted he was homesick, but was in the words of Arsene Wenger "one of the most technically gifted players I have ever coached".
Reyes
also explained after leaving that he loved the club, the fans and his team mates, but atthe same time some people find it really difficult to settle in other cultures. I was so disappointed
he
left, but there's no need to hate him - just consider the winner against Spurs, Chelsea, Liverpool, Man Utd etc. Ben Arfa could be a good signing, in Wenger we trust.
freglish - he may have been technically gifted but his attitude was a real problem. Remember the whole "i'd love to play for Real Madrid" incident on the radio? He was constantly
complaining
about the weather and being homesick and trying engineer a move away. I know some footballers aren't the brightest but he must have had an inkling into how things would be if he moved to
London.
My frustration with him was also due to the fact that he "could" have been a great player for us. Unfortunately he only turned up on rare occasions when the sun was shining...
I
don't hate him - I was just very disappointed with how he turned out.
