As much as i think it's great he's getting a break i simply cannot see this as being a good thing. In all honesty i don't think Clichy could have done much better than he did this year. He
was
certainly better than both Evra (who he beat into the pfa team) and Abidol (who performed shockingly in the champions league semi), and it would certainly fill most people with a 'well what
the
hell can i do better' mentality - which is never good for a player's future...
the way Clichy came back from his injury, I believe shows what a great mentality he has. It is on this basis that I firmly believe he will bounce back from this disappointment of being
rejected
by France.
