Morning from a wet and dreary Dublin. I was really hoping for a bit of an Indian summer in September but it turns out the Indian summer is just another Irish summer, except a bit colder. A few bits and bobs to talk about but as we are still in the midst of the Interlull it's all a bit quiet... 16 Players away with 12 countries.

The international break is well and truly here and we have 16 players away on international duty with 12 different countries. It's like the United Nations at Arsenal although Theo says there's a lot of French in the dressing room which is probably because our Africans & Swiss... Hands up who stayed up till well past midnight hoping to hear the news of a new signing arriving in N5? I know I did. Hands up who checked the internet when they woke, bleary eyed, this morning hoping against hope that we would have a new midfielder in the ranks ala Denilson in 2006?... Today is D-Day for us in the transfer market. With, in my opinion, 2 signings needed we will probably not know what is happening until late tonight. That is if anything happens at all. All the usual suspects are being mentioned. Inler, Alonso, Vieira & Metzelder have had mentions... Posted by JamrockRover · Comments (2) Topics: Arsenal,Samir Nasri,Joey Barton,Kevin Keegan

Apologies for the incredibly late post but I had an awful lot to do today. My daughter had a dancing competition at 9 this morning so I was up at 8 and it has been non stop go ever since. So I'm only getting some me time now. Damn kids! The game yesterday went very... Posted by JamrockRover · Comments (0) Topics: Arsenal,Premier League,Samir Nasri
Three goals, clean sheet, three points. Lovely.

Arsenal's post-Fulham rehabilitation continued yesterday with a comfortable 3-0 win over Newcastle. Since that black day last week we've won two games, scored seven goals and kept two clean sheets. Not bad. Of course you have to take the quality of the opposition into account, and both Twente... Posted by arseblog · Comments (898) Topics: Samir Nasri,Arsenal,Newcastle,Arsenal - Newcastle
Hurrah I missed all the friendlies and then......Silvestre!!!!

Having been busy with visitors this week has enabled me to miss all the dull action from the midweek games though the 2 young sons of my guests will probably want to watch some football at some point. However, waking up and quickly looking at the world it seems Arsenal have gone and... Posted by BaselGooner · Comments (0) Topics: Samir Nasri,Switzerland,France,Mikael Silvestre
The Buzz of the start swiftly followed by the Yawn of a Midweek International
02:11 AM, Wednesday, 20 August 2008
I can just about cope with competitive internationals even if my club side is far more important and relevant to me. However, I cannot understand or even get of bed for these early season friendlies. Why do they always take place so soon after the first game of the season (or before... Posted by BaselGooner · Comments (0) Topics: William Gallas,Samir Nasri
Ooh he's signed a contract - he must be staying (until the summer anyway)...

As you probably know by now it seems that Arsenal have confirmed that Adebayor has signed a new contract. Now I'm pretty sure he did that last year and then spent most of the summer saying he wanted to leave (or words to that effect) so that leaves two questions. Was it all a ruse to... Thoughts on the Adebayor booing and more
07:06 PM, Monday, 18 August 2008
Morning all, it's the start of another week. Dreary too. The weather really is depressing for summertime. After the chorus of boos that Emmanuel Adebayor was treated to on Saturday Arsene Wenger has urged fans to get behind the Togonator and leave what happened in the...
