The Soca Warriors, as the Trinidad and Tobago football team is called by T&T fans, will again do their best to qualify to play in the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. The 2010 World Cup campaign started in the the Second Round (since the team qualified in 2006) with home and away matches against Bermuda. T&T lost the first game at home 1-2 on June 15 but bounced back to beat Bermuda away with a 2-0 victory. The Soca Warriors now progress to the Third Round 3-2 on aggregate.
T&T now plays in WC Group 1 alongside the United States, Guatemala and Cuba. The top two teams from this group will advance the Fourth Round of qualifying with four other teams from other groups. The top three teams then qualify
