Just Play School – Feb 26 & 27

Duration: 16 hours
Aim/s: To give the participants an overview of Just Play as a football for development programme with four social objectives integrated with key messages to teach children healthy lifestyle messages through fun activities.
Prerequisite/s: Participants must be 16 years of age or over, have passion to work with children, currently involved as volunteer and coordinator in the Just Play school programme or look at getting involved in the future. They must sign the Just Play Child Protection Policy and provide a Police Clearance/or certificate for compliance & criminal checks
Overview: The course consists of the following topics: The Social Issues in the Pacific; Social issues in the Country; Just Play Objectives; How Just Play contributes to Social Change; How to deliver the key messages to children and How to Measure Social Change. These topics are adapted to the local context.
Attendance: A participant is required in principle to attend 100% of a Just Play course
Course assessment: There are two parts to the assessment process:
- 16 hours during the course – participant is assess on their knowledge and understanding of the Social Issues Just Play is focusing on; Just Play Social Objectives; How Just Play contribute to Social Change; How to deliver the key messages to children and how to measure Social Change. And how to organize Just Play sessions with children.
- 16 hours during implementation (1 session per week x 16 weeks x 1 hour) – participants must complete the 16 weeks programme to gain 16 hours towards hands on experience (practical)
Certificate validity: 3 years (certificate to be given at the end of 16 sessions). Renewal – Participants will attend a refresher course for the renewal the certificate
