OFC’s football division supports the continuous development of the region’s players and coaches through a comprehensive range of programmes designed to improve performance at national and international level.
For players, tailor-made programmes have been established to support member association elite development, and prepare the next generation of male and female players to participate in OFC and FIFA youth competition.
Centres of Excellence have been established to facilitate and connect the player development pathway from grassroots to senior level. Players aged 13-16 years are able to experience regular, structured football training activities with qualified coaches, linked to regional, national and OFC competition.
National Academies provide a full-time holistic environment for players aged 17 and older, with the aim of promoting education through football, and futher preparing players for international competition.
MA staff and elite coaches
For member association technical staff and local elite coaches, OFC assists with mentoring and providing the tools to assist the region’s elite football community with administration and programme planning for youth and senior national teams.
