ABOUT OCEANIA FOOTBALL CONFEDERATION:

The Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) is the one of the world’s six Football Confederations, and is responsible for the development and organisation of football across the South Pacific. OFC is currently made up of 11 Member Associations and two Associate Members, which it supports through a variety of ways.

Following a four-year consultation process, The OFC Executive Committee are planning to kick off their new Professional League in 2025. With this in mind, we are looking for an experienced consultant to come on board to develop and implement the next steps of this exciting project.

ROLE SUMMARY

You will be responsible for helping establish Oceania Football’s new regional professional football league – the OFC Pro League. The role includes overseeing all project management duties, ensuring the defined project delivery plan is executed efficiently and effectively, and aligning with the objectives of the OFC Pro League and the OFC’s Vision 2026 and related strategies.

As OFC Pro League Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing and managing the frameworks related to setting up the OFC Pro League. This includes coordinating all project activities, achieving key deliverables, as well as managing the key stakeholders. The primary focus is to ensure that the project adheres to the highest standards of quality, is delivered on time, and within budget.

You will proactively develop and manage strong and constructive stakeholder relationships including the OFC administration, General Secretary, Executive Committee, OFC member associations, Clubs, FIFA, confederations and other key stakeholders.

This is a key role that requires proven experience in project management, sports management, and stakeholder engagement. This is a consultancy role working 40 hours per week for an initial period of 24 months with flexible working hours. The successful candidate can undertake this role and be based remotely so overseas candidates are encouraged to apply.

 

ABOUT YOU:

  • Relevant experience working within a professional sports organisation, ideally with member associations, clubs and / or competitions.
  • Proven experience working in a football professional league or club would be a plus.
  • Good understanding of football and / or international sport competitions structures.
  • Excellent presentation skills and an outstanding ability to build, develop relationships across diverse stakeholder groups locally, nationally and internationally.
  • You will have a dynamic and engaging leadership style, political and cultural maturity, ability to influence and a passion for Football and / or high-performance sport.
  • Excellent organisation skills with proven ability to manage multiple projects at one time.
  • Analytical, commercial and detail orientated with experience managing budgets.
  • Demonstrate strategic nous, ability to plan, program development and task facilitation.
