As Central Coast Mariners visit Vanuatu for two international friendly matches against OFC Pro League team Vanuatu United FC, the players will also take time to connect with young people in the community.
The first of two matches between the teams take place tomorrow at VFF Freshwater Stadium, bringing top-level football action to fans in Port Vila.
Then on Thursday , the players will visit Survival Primary School from 10:00am to 11:00am.
On Friday they will visit Saint Joseph School in the Namba 2 Lagoon Area from 10:30am to 11:30am.
Through these school visits, students will have a special opportunity to meet professional football players, hear their stories, and gain inspiration to pursue their own dreams through sport.
These school visits are part of Team Up’s Just Play program, which is supported by the Australian Government and delivered in partnership with the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC), Vanuatu Football Federation (VFF), and football partners across the region. The program uses sport as a tool to inspire young people, promote inclusion, and build strong, positive communities.
This is another great example of how football can bring people together and strengthen the connection between Vanuatu and Australia.
