Both sides won their matches on day two of the competition to maintain perfect records – Shefa easily accounting for Torba 9-2 and Malampa beating Penama 3-1 – to sit tied on six points with a game remaining in the four-team competition.
While even on points, Shefa hold a commanding goal differential of 10, compared to Malampa’s three, leaving Shefa only requiring a draw from the match to secure the title.
Meanwhile the other match of the day will decide who finishes at the bottom of the ladder, with Penama and Torba both sitting on 0 points after losses in their opening games.
The third and final day of games takes place on 28 November.
The Province of Origin concept has been re-introduced this year after not being run for the past few seasons, with the aim of keeping clubs, players and fans active through the break between club seasons.
