The 2-1 upset has elevated Erakor to the top of the TVL Premier League table for the first time this season – one point ahead of Amicale.
Sixteen-year-old Tony Kaltack opened the scoring for his side in the first half in front of 8000 fans at Port Vila Stadium, before Niko assured his side OF the win with his second-half strike.
Erakor captain Brian Kaltack dedicated the triumph to the side’s fans and his faithful players who worked hard for the victory.
“What a game. I am very happy with my boy’s performance today against the defending champions. We worked really hard over 90 minutes to beat Amicale,” he said.
“Tony Kaltack, our goal scorer, is a great player. He is young and very strong and he showed his quality today. I also want to thank Jack Niko, who scored our second goal, he came in as a substitute and did really well.”
“Lastly I want to thank all my players. We will continue to fight until the end of the competition.”
