Playing in front of a crowd of over 2500, Hoyle started for the Victory and played 77 minutes before being replaced with her side, coached by former New Zealand U-17 coach Dave Edmondson, up 2-0.
After claiming the W-League title, the next club assignment for the 26-year-old Hoyle will be with Notts County Ladies FC in England for the new FA Women’s Super League season beginning later this year.
The Football Ferns squad for the upcoming Cyprus Cup tournament will be named next week.
