The courses not only gave the referees the opportunity to review the Laws of the game – but also to check the match officials’ fitness in a variety of ways. The introductory course brought together 10 referees, selected by Shefa Futsal League from 10 different clubs.
Course local instructor Alain Alick said he is happy to see ten top Shefa futsal referees participate and wish them all the best in their refereeing career.
“We have to look for ex-players or individuals who wanted to become referees and we must work with them to help them achieve their dreams’,” said Former Vanuatu FIFA Futsal referee Alain Alick.
“Maintaining focus and concentration amid the high pace of a modern elite game are a key purpose behind the referee course.”
“With the advanced referees, first of all we’re preparing them before the start of futsal season.”
“We have to make sure they are prepared and fit – it’s important that we monitor them.” said Alick.
Shefa Futsal League would like to thank Alain Alick for his time for the last three days and hope that the referees have learned a lot from the former Vanuatu FIFA Futsal referee.
