Jordan, who passed away on Monday in Pretoria, South Africa, was the focus of a minute’s silence prior to Auckland City FC’s 5-1 pre-season friendly win over Canterbury United at Kiwitea Street today.
“On behalf of FIFA and the worldwide football community, I wish to extend our deepest sympathies to Keryn’s family, friends and loved ones.
“Keryn enjoyed a distnguished career at club and international level, being capped by South Africa and playing two FIFA Club World Cups for Auckland City,” Blatter said.
“We would hope that in some way, these words of support may help bring a little bit of peace and solace in this time of sadness,” he added.
