Shefa dominated their encounter against Penama, eventually winning 4-1 to go top of the table on goal difference.
In the other match Malampa were made to work for their 2-1 win over Torba, scoring the winner on 80 minutes to secure the three points.
The second of the three match days for the competition takes place on 25 November at Port Vila Stadium, with Torba taking on Shefa and Malampa facing Penama.
