VFF president Lambert Maltock says the new wheels are expected to speed up the work on football activities in Malampa, especially on the island of Malekula.
“This year will be a very good year for football in Vanuatu,” he says.
“VFF is decentralising its technical centres and increasing support to all eight associations are is our top priority. I am pleased to be announcing that this is just one of three vehicles that congress approved for purchase this year, with the Penama and Tafea football associations also getting new vehicles.
“The vehicles are intended to help facilitate the implementation of the Just Play training programme and the centres of development and excellence, as well as assisting in the administration of the association’s leagues and competitions.”
Maltock says the federation is grateful for the contributions from OFC and its president David Chung whose financial assistance contributed to the new transportation and technical centres.
Penama and Tafea are expected to have their vehicles by the end of this month.
