Fiji FA president Rajesh Patel says the football authority has a great understanding of the difficulties some districts are facing after the natural disaster.
“We know some district officials and players have been fully affected by the disaster so we have decided to postpone all our football activities for a month,” he says.
Patel says the plan is to wait out the month before reassessing how the recovery is progressing before deciding on a date for the recommencement of any football activity.
“We are behind our officials and players and will wait for everything to normalise before starting our football activities. We understand the difficulties some people are facing at this moment but we can get together and support each other.”
