In what will be a massive double-header day of finals football, the ASB Chatham Cup Final will follow the ASB Women’s Knockout Cup Final at the same venue.
The action will get underway at 11am with the women’s showpiece fixture between Northern Football clubs Forrest Hill Milford United and 2011 champions Glenfield Rovers.
The 2014 ASB Chatham Cup Final follows at 2.30pm as defending champions Cashmere Technical of Christchurch look to claim their third national knockout cup crown over five-time winners Central United FC of Auckland.
In a first for New Zealand Football fans, both matches will be available via LIVE online streaming coverage produced by N-Tech through its i-Film streaming service (details below).
New Zealand Football Community Director Cameron Mitchell says securing QBE Stadium and the streaming coverage reflects the status of the ASB Cup Finals in the New Zealand football calendar.
“Our ASB Cup Finals are the showpiece of our game domestically during the winter season and we’re delighted to have confirmed a top class venue for both matches,” Mitchell said.
“For those supporters who can’t get along in September, we’ve also secured the chance to see the game via live online streaming coverage which is an exciting first for the competition.”
“We’re looking forward to what will be a showcase of top football whether you’re at the ground or watching around the country.”
Tickets for both ASB Cup Finals will be available from Wednesday 27 August via Ticketek at $12.50 per adult with two children free per ticket. Tickets will be on sale at the gate on September 7 for $15.
