Heading into the season-closing encounter, Ba needed a victory to maintain their grasp on the trophy after a comprehensive 5-0 triumph against title rivals Labasa last Friday.
And the Men in Black had no problems earning the necessary win as first-half strikes to Mavileko Nakama, Shalen Lal and Avinesh Suwamy had them three goals to the good by the break.
That left Savusavu with a massive hill to climb and they failed to make any significant inroads, falling further behind when Keni Doidoi struck from the penalty spot soon after the restart.
Fiji Football Association competitions manager Jainendra Sukhu was pleased with how the season went and believes the action was of a good standard.
“The 2011 league season was a two-way race between Ba and Labasa,” he says.
“We witnessed a competitive league and the teams gave their very best in a bid to join the race for the title. We will take the positives and negatives from this season and hope to have a bigger and better 2012 season.”
The Premier Division title was also settled on the weekend with Tailevu Naitasiri earning a 4-4 draw against Dreketi to be crowned champions.
Ratu Luke scored twice while Roderick Singh and Hoteshwar Padarath also found the net for the new champions. Dreketi replied through a Peni Sokia double and further stikes to Manjoor Khan and Laisenia Ratoto.
