Rewa scooped five of the night’s major awards, including the naming of inspirational national team skipper Simione Tamanisau as player of the year, Marika Rodu as coach of the year and Betsy Ali as junior footballer of the year.
The club’s men’s side also picked up the team of the year title after a remarkable season that earned them three major domestic titles – in the Champions League, Fiji FACT and Battle of the Giants.
A special Fiji FA President’s Award was also introduced this year and went to Moiz Munif, the association’s media officer, for his work on the weekly Fiji Football News publication.
The Fiji Football News is a 12-page lift-out dedicated entirely to football which is inserted into the Fiji Sun newspaper every Wednesday.
