Fiji have won the MSG Prime Minister’s Cup in front of a home crowd, following a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Vanuatu in Suva.

Bula FC midfielder Thomas Dunn scored the only goal of the final after 10 minutes, as Stephane Auvray’s side were able to hold on and lift the trophy.

Fiji had finished second in the table, behind Vanuatu, with a match day 5 victory over New Caledonia securing their place in the final.

Dunn had been one of many OFC Pro League stars who caught the eye during the tournament, with Javin Wae, Tony Kaltack and Rafa Le’ai finishing joint top scorers, all registering three goals.

Fiji especially had benefited from a number of Bula FC players in their squad. As well as Dunn’s goal in the final, Bula FC pair Scott Wara and Maikah Dau scored in the victory over New Caledonia that booked their place against Vanuatu.

As coach of both the national team and Bula FC, Auvray will hope that this success will boost Bula’s chances in next season’s OFC Pro League, which kicks off in January 2027.
