The final round of the Fiji Premier League will take place this weekend and there is still a chance of qualification to the region’s premier international club competition for several teams.

Fiji FA competitions manager Amitesh Pal said fans could expect a thrilling conclusion to the season.

“It’s going to be D-day for some teams as we can see Lautoka needs a draw against Rewa to win the title, having already booked a spot in the OFC Champions League 2019.

“Ba, Labasa, Suva and Nadi all remain in the running as well to finish second,” Pal said.

“We cannot say much as all the teams will be firing to win and also looking at Tavua and Dreketi, it is going to be a decider as to who will survive in the top level.

Lautoka have 28 points after 13 matches and will play Rewa at home on Sunday at 3pm.

Ba has 22 points with games against Dreketi and Labasa to be played this weekend. Nadi have 21 points and Suva 19 with just one match this weekend while Labasa, with 18 points, also have two matches to play this weekend.
