After Kooline FC took out the inaugural OFC Futsal Champions League in early December it by no means marked the end of the action for Solomon Islands futsal players.

The annual Auki Futsal Challenge, held in Auki, Malaita, featured several of Kooline’s key members including Alvin Hou and Arnold Maeluma.

KF Gold held onto their title following a penalty shootout victory over Sanctus FC in the final, which they won 2-0.

KF Gold not only featured Hou, but fellow Kurukuru George Stevenson, Charlie Otainao and Charlie Ata, while Sanctus had Arnold Maeluma to count on as well as Solympic U-23 captain John Aeta.
