Preparations for the senior and junior school tournaments, which will be held in early April, are underway around Rarotonga.
The CIFA technical department are working with schools as part of its football development programme aimed at developing and inspiring young children to get into football, in a fun environment while also honing their skills.
CIFA development officer, Tahiri Elikana, said he is excited about the programme and what talent it might unveil in 2020.
“Each year the tournament gets better and better and we hope to continue that trend this year,” he said.
“We love to see that teachers are also putting in the effort to help develop the children and further their progress. Overall we are excited for the tournament to come.”
