The Solomon Islands have named their 18-man travelling squad fort the first OFC Stage 3 FIFA World Cup RussiaTM Qualifier against Tahiti In Papeete on Monday (local time).

Six players have been left out of the training squad of 24 including experienced forward Benjamin Totori as the Bonitos travel to French Polynesia with a more streamlined group.

Gagame Feni, Charlie Otainao, James Do’oro, Richard Fono and Tutizama Tanit were also not selected for the Tahiti leg.

However at least some of those omitted could come back into contention when the teams meet again in Honiara on November 13 with up to 23 players allowed in the match day squad.
