Tahiti (FTF) has officially withdrawn from the OFC U-16 Women’s Championship 2026 taking place in Solomon Islands from 6 to 19 September.
According to Article 6.3 of the OFC U-16 Women’s Championship 2026 regulations, OFC shall be responsible for making any decisions, including but not limited to:
- replacing the Participating Association that has withdrawn
- changing the Match Schedule
The OFC Executive has approved that Papua New Guinea Football Association (PNGFA), who were the runner up in the Qualifying stage of the OFC U-16 Women’s Championship 2026, will participate in the competition in Group B as Tahiti’s replacement.
Therefore, the groups are comprised as followed:
Group A: Fiji, New Zealand, Cook Islands (qualifiers winner), Solomon Islands
Group B: New Caledonia, Samoa, Tonga, Papua New Guinea (direct replacement for Tahiti)
