OFC can confirm that Fetu’u Vea has been confirmed as a member of the OFC Executive Committee, following his election as President of the Tonga Football Association (TFA) on June 30 this year.
President Vea succeeds Lord Ve’ehala as President of the TFA, who served in the position for 20 years. He had previously held the role of Senior Vice President for the TFA and has a long history as a football manager, including leading successful Tongan club Lotoha’apai FC and managing the Tonga U-15 national team.
Following his election, the OFC Eligibility Committee determined that President Vea sufficiently meets the applicable criteria and requirements in the OFC Statutes and the OFC Governance Regulations to hold office on the OFC Executive Committee.
OFC welcomes President Vea to the Executive Committee and looks forward to working alongside him and the Tonga Football Association.
