Wellington Phoenix striker Roy Krishna has been selected to co-captain the side alongside Ba defender Alvin Singh, with Krishna only available for the second match due to club commitments.
Fiji Football Association vice president and national team director Tarunesh Reddy says both players are highly respected figures in Fiji.
“Roy is a quality player who has been in great form in the A-League, and he brings some great leadership qualities with him,” Reddy says.
“It is a similar story with Alvin, who was at the forefront of a very successful season for Ba this year, which most recently saw them win the Inter District Championship.”
Reddy hopes the games will provide a good development opportunity for the senior men’s squad, in a year where age-grade teams have dominated the international programme for Fiji.
“We had lot of commitments during the year with teams competing at the FIFA U-20 World Cup in New Zealand and the Pacific Games in Papua New Guinea, but we are now concentrating on our senior national team,” he says.
“Some of our players have been forced out of the Vanuatu friendlies due to injury, but the door will still be open for them down the track.
“The preparations have gone very well and all of the players know what the coach and the public expect.”
