OFC President David Chung is pleased to have the Beijing-based event management and ticketing agency on board.
“OFC has a significant number of competitions on the horizon over the next three years including our showpiece the OFC Nations Cup, so this agreement is well-timed,” Chung says.
“iRENA has a lot of experience working on large-scale events and we are excited to be working with them and making use of that expertise.”
iRENA Group was founded in 2001 as a sports-marketing firm working with basketball, tennis, badminton, golf, football, taekwondo and volleyball.
The company has also successfully branched out into venue management and in 2009 began working with the International Association of Venue Managers as it looked to expand its position in the Chinese market.
iRENA will play a key role with the ticketing of all OFC tournaments over the next three years providing an online ticketing portal for regional fans.
