The match kicks off
1′ Waitakere United pass up a great chance to go in front straight away when Ryan de Vries breaks down the right and pulls the ball back for Chris Bale, who drags his shot wide
4′ Kini Viliame goes down injured for Ba and play is held up while he goes off to receive treatment
6′ Waitakere have another chance with a flicked header from Jason Rowley but goalkeeper Jone Ralulu gathers comfortably
8′ A massive crowd has gathered at Fred Taylor Park for this eagerly-anticipated clash and they are still streaming through the turnstiles
8′ Ross McKenzie has Waitakere’s third chance when he volleys over from the left hand edge of the box
11′ Waitakere have enjoyed the better of these opening stages and most of the play is being conducted in the Ba half
13′ De Vries breaks into the box on the right again for Waitakere but his progress is halted by two Ba tacklers
16′ McKenzie bends a left-footed free kick in for Waitakere but it curls away from his team mates and lands in the hands of Ralulu
17′ Ba nearly go in front when Tim Myers and goalkeeper Danny Robinson fail to deal with a long ball and Malakai Tiwa nips in to dink the ball just wide
20′ The visitors have another good chance when Alvin Singh bursts forward to play a one-two with Tiwa and Robinson does well to block Singh’s shot
22′ Ba are enjoying more of the play now and the match is developing into a very even contest
24′ Ralulu has to leave his box to sweep up a Waitakere through ball
28′ Allan Pearce sends a cross towards the near post for Waitakere but Ralulu dives acrobatically to deal with the danger
31′ Marika Madigi crosses from the left for Ba and Ken Doidoi directs a shot goalwards but McKenzie clears off the line and Jone Vesikula heads the follow up over the bar
34′ Avinesh Suwamy breaks down the right and fires narrowly across the face of Robinson’s goal
